Introduction

ExtremeMTB proposes some mountain bike tours on the gorgeous mountains that overlook the Maggiore Lake, from the wild and austere ones that hide its sources to the placid and gentle ones that decorate its shores. Here you won't find crowded tracks and boring country roads, but deserted trails that will lead you to peaks that have rarely been violated by a bicycle.

In the tour section you'll find a detailed description of every tour, together with some comments on the see sightings and on the technical and physical difficulties. To help you find the right way there are also some interactive maps. In the suggestions section you'll find some valuable hints that will help you getting back home alive even from the extremest trips. Additional information can be found in the links section and in the weather forecast page, that also presents some webcams pointed at the swiss mountains. And if you still miss something, you can try to find it in the search page or ask me!

That is all. Have fun!

If you arrive at a difficult place, get off your bike  and walk. If you're not able to go by a place, stop and go back. The tours described in this site could lead to difficult, dangerous and/or unmarked trails.
