Magnificent scenery at the beginning of the descent
Mount Gazzirola is a high and wide
mountain, but the thick grass layer that grows on it gives it a humble look.
Still its position in the middle of the 3 main lakes of the region (westwards
Lake Maggiore, southwards Lake Ceresio and eastwards
Como's Lake) rewards the visitors with an exclusive scenery.
The tour
described herein, going through the Colla Valley and San Lucio Pass, is
long and varied. The climb is hard, and the very last part can be
covered only by foot. The first part of the descent is also tough,
requiring not only very good technical skills but also physical strength. This tour
can thus be accomplished only by complete bikers. Be true to yourself!
